BLEPHAROPLASTY

Blepharoplasty is a surgery performed to improve drooping eyelids and may involve removing excess skin, muscle and fat. As you age, your eyelids stretch and the muscles that support them weaken.

PROCEDURE OF
BLEPHAROPLASTY

The blepharoplasty procedure consists of removing excess redundant skin and excess fat from the eyelids. The result is a rejuvenated look.

The procedure is performed through incisions located in the natural folds of the eyelids, which is why they remain imperceptible over time. The excess skin is removed, the redundant fat is extracted and it is closed using fine sutures, achieving a controlled repositioning of the eyelid anatomy. At the end, the operated region is covered with cold compresses.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE HAVING A BLEPHAROPLASTY
blepharoplasty scar

Blepharoplasty is a surgery that covers the upper and lower eyelids as necessary. It can be performed under local anesthesia or supported by minor sedation.
The scars are hidden in the folds of the eyelids. At first they are red and visible, as the months go by they become skin-colored and are inconspicuous.
Blepharoplasty is a quick recovery surgery.

RECOVERY OF
BLEPHAROPLASTY

During recovery it is important to rest physically during the first 3-5 days.
We recommend resting with your head elevated and applying cold compresses intermittently.
We recommend wearing dark glasses during your recovery.
The stitches will be removed after 7 days.
